That is why JLL continues to prioritise contamination control across J&J’s critical environments, helping to maintain the high standards required within its facilities.
CHALLENGE
JLL were looking to strengthen contamination control at one of the Johnson & Johnson manufacturing sites they manage. A key area of focus was cleanroom access points, where footwear presented a potential route for contamination to enter controlled environments.
The site was having issues with microbiological laboratory failures and non-conformances, making effective control of cross-contamination an important priority for the site.
SOLUTION
Previously, the site had used an alternative supplier’s product alongside Dycem. Having experienced both solutions, the customer chose to expand the use of Dycem contamination control mats to improve contamination control at cleanroom access points across the site.
Positioned at key entrances, our mats help capture and retain up to 99.9% of contamination from footwear and wheels before it can be transferred further into the controlled environment.
Durability was an important factor in choosing Dycem, with the solution supporting the site’s contamination control processes while accommodating approximately 20–50 users each day.
RESULTS
Since implementing Dycem mats, the customer has improved the control of contamination entering cleanrooms via footwear and strengthened measures to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
The solution has also helped reduce cleaning requirements, supporting improved productivity and safety for the team.
Overall, the customer reported being satisfied with Dycem and highlighted its reliability as one of the most compelling aspects of the solution.
