Dycem® Particle Collection Efficiency Test (PCET)
To ensure your Dycem mat remains effective, we offer a complimentary annual Particle Collection Efficiency Test (PCET). Conducted by your local contamination control specialist, this test measures the mat’s tackiness and particle capture efficiency. The resulting report supports compliance during audits and is provided for your records.
Why Annual Testing Matters:
- Identifies issues with daily use or cleaning that could reduce the mat’s lifespan.
- Assists in budget forecasting as mats approach the end of their lifespan.
- Provides a test report for audit purposes, ensuring compliance.
What is a PCET Test?
The Particle Collection Efficiency Test (PCET) is an annual test performed by your local Dycem Contamination Control Specialist to assess the effectiveness of your Dycem mats. This complimentary test measures the mats’ ability to collect and retain particles on the surface of CleanZone and WorkZone products. The results provide an overview of the mat’s performance, helping you ensure that your contamination control measures are functioning optimally.
What to Expect:
Before the Visit
Schedule On-site Testing
One year after your Dycem mats are installed, our team will reach out to schedule an on-site testing visit. Many companies choose to incorporate this into their Preventative Maintenance (PM) Plans to ensure ongoing efficiency and compliance.
Efficiency Testing
Testing Your Dycem Mats
Each mat is tested using an Advanced Force Gauge (AFG) to measure the pull strength in Newtons, providing insight into the mat’s particle collection and retention efficiency. The testing process typically takes 5-10 minutes per mat, depending on size and location.
Reporting
Sharing The Data
After testing, the data collected will be compiled into a comprehensive report that includes both current and historical readings for each mat. This report will outline the effectiveness of each mat, offering a clear picture of their performance over time.
Recommendations Given
Recommendations Made by Dycem
Based on the findings, your specialist will offer tailored advice on cleaning and maintenance routines to extend the lifespan of your mats. If any mats show efficacy levels below 50%, recommendations for replacement will be made to ensure continued optimal performance.
After the Visit
Annual Complimentary Service
As part of Dycem’s commitment to quality, this efficiency testing is conducted annually at no additional cost. Regular testing helps maintain the optimal performance of your Dycem mats, providing peace of mind that your critical environments are well-protected against contamination.
